Terms of Service

Last updated 28 September 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and Jubal Global Music Services Limited ("Jubal", "we"). They apply when you use the Jubal app or website. Please read them with our Privacy Notice and Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

1. Who can use Jubal

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a binding contract. You may hold one personal account, which you must keep accurate and secure. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away at support@jubal.africa if you think someone else has used it.

2. What Jubal does

Jubal is a marketplace where creatives ("creators") show their work and offer services, and clients discover and book them. The contract for a service is between the client and the creator. Jubal provides the platform, holds payments in escrow, and helps resolve disputes; it does not perform the creative services itself.

3. Bookings

You can book a creator for a gig, a one-to-one consultation, a masterclass or a shoutout. Each booking has an agreement showing the scope, dates, price, milestones, fees and the rules that apply. Any change to scope, price or dates after booking needs both parties to accept a new version of the agreement.

4. Escrow: how payments are held and released

When a client pays for a booking, Jubal receives the payment as the creator's payment collection agent and holds it in a dedicated account, separate from Jubal's own money, until it is released. Payment to Jubal counts as payment to the creator. Money is released as follows:

  • Gigs: in milestones set at booking. By default half is released when the booking is confirmed and half on delivery and approval. Each milestone that depends on approval is released when the client approves it, or automatically 72 hours after delivery if the client does not respond.
  • Consultations: automatically 48 hours after the session, unless the client raises an issue first.
  • Masterclasses: in equal parts after each session, each with a 24-hour window to raise an issue.
  • Shoutouts: when the video is delivered.

Jubal's commission is deducted when money is released to the creator.

5. Fees

  • Clients pay a 5% service fee on top of the booking price. It is shown before you pay.
  • Creators pay a commission on each release: gigs 10%, consultations 12%, masterclasses 15% and shoutouts 12%. TopPro creators pay 1 percentage point less and SupaPro creators 3 percentage points less. What you will receive is shown before a booking is confirmed.
  • Adding funds to your wallet: 1.5%, capped for large amounts. Withdrawals: ₦100 each. Currency conversion: a 1.5% margin on the rate, shown and locked before you confirm. A physical Jubal card: ₦2,500.
  • Creator tiers: RegoPro is free. TopPro costs ₦6,500 a month or ₦65,000 a year. SupaPro is by invitation from Jubal and is not for sale.

We will give you notice in the app before any fee changes, and changes never apply to bookings already paid.

6. Your wallet

Your Jubal wallet is provided with our licensed banking partner, which holds wallet balances. You can add funds, pay for bookings, receive released earnings and withdraw to a bank account in your own verified name. The minimum withdrawal is ₦1,000. Withdrawals are available once your identity is verified, and may be held for review to protect you and others from fraud; we will always show the reason.

7. Cancellations, refunds and no-shows

  • If a creator cancels or does not show up, the client receives a full refund, including the service fee.
  • If a client misses a consultation, it can be rebooked within 48 hours; it is not refunded.
  • If a client asks to cancel and be refunded, a 10% cancellation fee applies to the amount refunded, and the service fee is not refunded. Money already released for completed milestones or sessions is not refundable.
  • Refunds are returned to your Jubal wallet or to the original payment method, as shown when you request them.

8. Disputes

If something goes wrong, raise it in the Resolution Center before the money is released. The escrowed amount stays locked while the dispute is open. Both parties can submit evidence; the booking agreement and the booking chat are attached automatically. A Jubal mediator will propose an outcome, which may release, refund or split the money. If the parties do not accept it, Jubal decides, and its decision on the escrowed amount is final as between the parties and Jubal. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under Nigerian consumer-protection law.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give Jubal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, promote and distribute your content on and in connection with Jubal while it remains on the platform. You must own or have permission for everything you post, including music: audio in Sparks must be your own or properly licensed. Unless an agreement says otherwise, a creator keeps copyright in work delivered for a booking and grants the client a non-exclusive licence for their personal use.

10. Rules of conduct

You must follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, keep payments on Jubal: asking for or making payments outside Jubal for work found on Jubal removes escrow protection and may lead to your account being suspended.

11. Promotions

Creators and businesses can pay to promote content or listings. Promoted items are always labelled as ads and must follow our Community Guidelines and advertising rules.

12. Suspension and closure

We may remove content or restrict, suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or where the law requires it. We will tell you why and how to appeal, unless the law prevents us. You can close your account at any time in Settings; open bookings must be completed or cancelled first, and we keep records the law requires.

13. Liability

We work hard to keep Jubal available and safe, but we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Creators are responsible for the services they provide and clients for the briefs they give. To the extent the law allows, Jubal is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Jubal in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We will notify you in the app before material changes take effect. If you keep using Jubal after that, the new Terms apply.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
